Nordstrom has a wide
selection of merchandise, however, they mostly target older shoppers. One great
way to help Nordstrom attract younger shoppers is through a targeted marketing
campaign aimed at young women for the month of May. This campaign will target
young women in high school and college who are looking for graduation dresses
or the perfect summer dress. The company will use multiple ways include the
Nordstrom Blogs and social media to gain attention to their new summer dresses
and market to this younger customer.
The campaign will display features on
Nordstrom.com's home page with youthful and exciting images of young women in
summer dresses. These photos will entice younger female shoppers and get them
interested in purchasing the merchandise. These homepage images, when clicked
on, will direct customers to a page filled with new summer dresses that are
perfect for graduation and other summer events.
Blog
The campaign will also be
featured through Nordstrom's Blog, "The Thread", as well as the
Juniors Blog, "BP Fashion Blog". It will feature some of their
new summer dresses that are also great for graduation and other events for the
months of May through September. The blog will include short videos and
creative posts showing customers' different ways to style their favorite
dresses from day to night or for a special occasion.

Nordstrom will keep customers up to date through Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and Pinterest by uploading pictures and links to their favorite dresses.

Nordstrom will focus on their
Pinterest account. There will be a "pin it to win it" contest. This
will be for any customer who is interested. To enter the contest, customers
will have to create a Pinterest board with the title "Nordstrom Summer
Dresses" and will have to pin at least five of their favorite new dresses
from Nordstrom.com. Each pin will need to include the hashtag #NordstromDress.
Then they can pin other summer inspirations to the board as well. Each person
will have to submit their board links through a special page created for the
campaign on Nordstrom.com . The winner of the "pin it to win it"
contest will receive a $300 gift card to Nordstrom.com allowing them to
purchase their favorite summer dresses.
